Peters Wormies are a tasty, high protein treat ideal for chickens, ducks, geese and insect-eating wild birds and lizards. Certain species of fish may also enjoy them as a treat.
Peters Wormies are the larvae of tenebrio molitor beetles that are harvested and dried. Wormies are rich in protein, fat, vitamins and minerals.
Feed your poultry by placing the Wormies in a feeder in the hen house or sprinkle them on the grass for your birds to peck.
For wild birds, simply place the Wormies in a bird feeder in the garden. Provide fresh water to aid digestion. Wormies may also be mixed with the main food to vary the diet.
Insect-eating reptiles such as the bearded dragon, blue tongued lizard and the stumpy tailed lizard enjoy snacking on Wormies. Feeding tip: add a drop of vegetable oil to the Wormies prior to feeding. The oil makes the insects shimmer and appear to move which will attract your pet. Provide fresh water to aid digestion.
Certain species of fish such as Koi Carp may enjoy Wormies as a treat. Sprinkle whole or break the Wormies into smaller pieces.
Feed Peters Wormies as a treat or as a high protein supplement to the main diet.
